At the beginning of June, I joined about 20 ladies for the Fairytale Club’s Mad Tea Party. We started our day on the upper floor of the lovely Jazz Kitchen which we had to ourselves. After lunch, everyone broke into the goody bag created for the event and started to play. The kit included a Carpe Diem planner, papers Andrea created just for this event, as well as various bits of ephemera (and is now available online!)
During the event, Andrea’s husband was taking pictures of the tea party as well as staffing a very cute photo booth. Everyone chatted, swapped cards and gifts and had a fun time cutting apart our sheets and putting things into our planner. The few hours we had passed in a flash, and suddenly, it was time for us to pack up and head to Disneyland for more time together.
In the parks, Andrea showed us some of her favorite places for photographs as well of some of her favorite types of free and low-cost ephemera options. Some of them, for example, pins you can purchase three for $6 by the register, were new to me. I bought a set and pulled the actual pin out of them to create something I’m able to put into my planner.
I came back from it with a couple of new crafty friends, great memories and a renewed enthusiasm for crafting. Andrea’s talking about doing more events (including, hopefully, a Halloween event! I love the Disney Halloween events!) I would suggest them to anyone who loves crafting and Disneyland.
Want to have a tea party of your own?
If weren’t at the event, don’t despair! The special Mad Tea kit is now available for sale, as well as a pre-order for the online class version of the project she taught for us. While you’re there, check out the kit club as well. If you’re into a girly Disney-loving aesthetic, it could be right up your alley!
I had such a splendid time that I forgot to take any pictures! All of these pictures are courtesy of Andrea and her lovely hubby Ryan! Thanks so much you guys!
