When I finally make my way over to Japan, this place will be required eatings for me. Not only is it absolutely adorable, but the menu sounds delicious! I don’t think I could decide between the mixed sandwiches (egg and cress with ham and red leicester please!) or the kedgeree. I would do both but I want to save room in my belly for the desserts. More trouble here deciding between the cream slice or the ice cream with Stanley-shaped shortbread! If you check out the menu for the special van tour, you can see a more detailed photo of this ice cream. It’s adorable! Then again, I’d probably just show up early for breakfast since lunches and dinners may end up being tours of maid cafes.
Of course, everything is served on Cath’s adorable tabletop collections. Nothing like good British food served on adorable plates, right? If tea’s more your speed, they have a full set tea with lots of traditional goodies.
Japan is like any other place in that it has little cafes hidden all over.
